The illustration, created by Parvati Pillai and inspired by Tove and Lars Jansson’s 1959 comic strip The Tinkers’ Proposal, depicts one of the most memorable scenes from the story. It follows Moomintroll, who is distracted by a trail of buttons and instead of following Snorkmaiden, meets Tink – a collector just like himself. They immediately become friends and head to the beach, where Moominmamma has already set up an inviting picnic. The plate has a handy size of 19 cm and is made of durable white porcelain, perfect for breakfast, coffee and light meals.
